Joan Wells - Wearable art, jewelry

"I have worked with many mediums all my life, however sewing for 40 years, fabric is still my favorite medium and now my art is "GREEN" . . . using found upholstery ends and samples fabric and leather.  The feature that makes all my handbags special are the unique handmade ornaments of vintage glass dishes and wine bottles that I hand cut and tumble which create a beach glass look, vintage neckties, feathers, handmade tassels, embroidery, fabric sculpturing and cut and hammered copper and brass.  The ornaments are also available as jewelry. My designs are guided by what ends I find, many are one of a kind. Each bag is signed and dated."

MaryLou McCambridge - Acrylic, watercolor, jewelry

"Painting has always been a part of my life.  I received my first oil paint set at 8, a cast off from my father.  I was hooked from the start.  I have done artworks in many mediums, but have settled into acrylics and watercolors recently.  I have worked in the graphic arts field for 15 years previously, graduating from Burnley School of professional art in 1973."

Suyhoon Cho - Photography

"I enjoy taking photographs of just about anything, ranging from nature, to abstract, portraits, and sports.  If you're wondering why I have such a love for photography, it's because photography is a way of capturing a moment.  But it is not only that, it is a way to distract me from any problems in my life, photography is my "creative outlet."  I hope to go to Evergreen State University and major in photography and writing."

Ariegaw Garcia- Watercolor, jewelry, poetry

I am a poet, artist, and jewelry designer.
have a degree but consider it of little value in relationship to the art I create.
I am very spiritual person so my art takes on this quality.
Everything I do is with passion and belief.
It starts with a idea, but the art creates itself.

William O. Walcott - Oils, acrylics

My painting style may be described as "contemporary realism". I try to imbue each painting with a spark of life and mystery.  I do this through the use of unusual perspective, or by the use of dramatic light, shadow, and color, and by trying to provide a feeling of harmony in each painting.  There are many thoughts about the meaning of the work "harmony" in a painting, but I believe it is best described as the melding  of unity (which is expressed by a repetition or a dominance of color, shape, line, value, etc) and variety.  Most artists, including myself, will spend a lifetime attempting to master this concept of "harmony" in order to continue to produce significant art that is meaningful and universal.

Tim Johnsrude

Tim Johnsrude, a Canadian immigrant, has been involved in photography since he was 12 years old. After moving from Manitoba to North Dakota with his family, he graduated high school and joined the Navy, working and living in places like Naples, Italy, Kayseri, Turkey, Bahrain, and Washington DC. After 22 years of uniformed service, he and his family have settled in Bremerton, Washington.

Although color images are popular due to their emotional appeal, Tim also works with monochrome film to express his logical and intellectual side. He shoots primarily 35mm film, but also uses digital media where it fits. His tools of choice include many of the modern classic cameras, such as Nikon’s Nikkormats and F series cameras, Pentax Spotmatics, Konica Autoreflex, and the Konica Hexar.

Melinda Hyra - Photography

"For me, photography is about the subject and the composition.  I am intrigued by the fleeting image - a thoughtful expression, or shifting shadow, a flash of movement in a still landscape, or a moment of quiet in a frantic scene. I prefer an unexpected perspective, a view or an angle that may cause you to pause, and consider, and question what you see - to experience a sense of inclusion."

Suzanne Rittenhouse Frie

I am mostly a self taught artist with a family heritage rich with artistic talent, including Samuel F. B. Morse the portrait artist and inventor. I enjoy the challenge of the human form and especially the human portrait. My favorite media includes oil painting and soft pastel work. However, as my life has progressed, my art has transformed on many different levels to include a newer art form that combines design and sculpture with color and painting in a crafted wire technique.

"Sugar and Creamer" - acrylic

Evy Olsen Halvorsen - Oils, Encaustics

"Landscape dwells large in my consciousness. From my youth in northern Norway to the painting of my birthplace, created by my grandfather, to my daily appreciation of the quiet beauty that surrounds us, the non-personal space around us weighs on me, as a comfort. The images I'm drawn to may be a literal translation of a landscape or an abstracted vision of terrain, memory, surroundings. A color impression, a botanical image or a visiting traveler may occupy this surface I attempt to fill. It is still always about the space, the welcoming space."

Pam Sanders - Collage, Jewelry

Pam is a very eclectic artist and artisan.  To say she is obsessed with art is an understatement.  Her love of making things goes back to her early childhood and continues to this day.  Her work ranges from miixed media paintings to one of a kind polymer clay jewelry pieces.  Ancient cultures, art, archeology and reading science fiction/fantasy novels inslpire her artwork.  She experiments daily with new techniques and ideas.  Her love of bright color and pattern infuses most of her work.

Ken Vining - Art gourds

"Unpredictability.  The life of a gourd artist is hinged on that word.  No two gourds are alike.  Using the same technique on two gourds, or even different parts of the same gourd will yield entirely different results.  Duplication is not an option.  Gourds have been used by civilizations for thousands of years.  They are an intregal part of many cultures.  My love of gourds is based on these factors; history and unpredictability.  My art is an expression of this.  Trying to bring out the beauty of the gourd, as well as it's versatility. Whether using rich leather dyes, ink dyes, or acrylic paints, the vibrant nature of the gourd still manages to shine through.  The variations on the surface brought on by the natural curing process and the varied shapes make for a one of a kind palette.  The gourd is a true wonder of nature.  "

Kristina Marie-hand forged jewelry

I began creating and making jewelry when I was 8 years old and discovered my grandmother’s jewelry box.  To this day I have an enormous collection of vintage costume jewelry and have for many years kept a ‘bead case’ of baubles to work with.

In 2002 I had the epiphany that there might be a market for creating jewelry the way I wanted to, which was custom, one-of-a-kind pieces created for the individual.
